Welcome to the ITRS!

Thank you for your interest and visit! The International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors, known throughout the world as the ITRS, is the fifteen-year assessment of the semiconductor industry’s future technology requirements. These future needs drive present-day strategies for world-wide research and development among manufacturers’ research facilities, universities, and national labs.

NEW! The 2011 edition of the ITRS is now online at this link!

As part of the 2011 release, the ITRS Winter Meeting Presentations are also available. These downloadable files contain the most recent information from the ITRS International Technology Working Groups.

Each year Future Fab International (FFI) devotes an issue to the newly released ITRS, with special articles from each working group. Issue 40 presents highlights of the 2011 Edition, as well as commentary from the FFI Editorial Team.

Special ITRS Edition

The International Roadmap Committee (IRC) clarifies the ITRS position on the Roadmap product drivers, technology pacing, and use of the term "technology nodes" by the industry and press. This link is an excerpt of the 2007 ITRS Technology Pacing section discussing these concepts in detail.

More than Moore White Paper

The IRC has released a new white paper on the topic "More than Moore" and roadmapping. This white paper proposes a methodology to help the ITRS community identify those More than Moore (MtM) technologies for which a roadmapping effort is feasible and desireable. This document is now available for download.
